RAWALPINDI: At least two Pakistani soldiers have been martyred and four others injured in a terrorists attack on a checkpost near the Pak-Afghan border in Bajaur Agency on Monday.

The martyred soldiers were identified as Capt Junaid Hafeez and Sepoy Raham.

According to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement terrorists from the Afghanistan side attempted this attack on Pakistani posts along Pak-Afghan border in Bajaur Agency.

'The attempt was effectively responded killing 8-10 fleeing terrorists while many seen running back injured' ISPR said.

ISPR added that Pakistan has done its part; cleared all areas, fencing, new posts, enhanced presence along border and establishing  of crossing points however, more efforts are required on Afghanistan side by all stake holders.

Moreover, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal saluted the martyred army officers, saying “may Allah bless them and grant patience to their family… Our resolve is stronger with every sacrifice to eliminate terrorists.”
