QUETTA: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi Tuesday announced 10 years package for Balochistan to bring the province at par with other provinces.

Talking to media persons here he said the project would help implement projects of schools, electricity, gas and clean drinking water. He made it clear that the general elections would be held in time as per schedule in mid 2018 and the present government would complete its tenure. He further said that the demands of the opposition parties would not be entertained.

Shahid Khan Abbasi said that democracy will prevail in the country and supremacy of law and constitution should be upheld. He expressed satisfaction over the so far progress on China Pakistan Economic Corridor mega project and other developmental schemes in the province.

Earlier, chairing a meeting on law and order situation in the province Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi reiterated Federal Government's full support to Balochistan Government for improving law and order situation.

The Prime Minister stated that sacrifices rendered by all law enforcement agencies' personnel are un-matachable for bringing peace in Balochistan.

He talked about the meeting that he chaired in Quetta and said that under-construction projects of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and progress of other development projects in Balochistan was reviewed in the meeting.

PM Abbasi assured that the shortage of potable water in Balochistan would be found a solution of. He stressed that supremacy of the law is paramount in a democratic setup and the government would complete its due tenure.

Chairing a meeting on law and order situation of Balochistan, the Prime Minister reiterated that the federal government will provide full support to the Balochistan government for improving the law and order situation. Secretary Home Balochistan presented detailed briefing on the law and order. Security measures for Shia Zaireen were also discussed in detail.
