ISLAMABAD: Chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan Tuesday said that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is incompetent Prime Minister (PM) and democracy is dysfunctional in the country.

Talking to a private TV channel, Imran said that he has no worries about court’s decision and he will accept whatever the verdict would be adding he will himself quit if a single paper proved fake.

PTI chief divulged that rebel group has been formed in Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) and PTI is in contact with those members.

“Media cell of Maryam Nawaz attacking army, no example of making party head to a criminal has been found anywhere,” he said taking an apparent jibe on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN).

PTI chief said that Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) complaint about indifferent attitude of institution with the party is right, adding PTI had decided to go to public after Panama case.

“It seems that this is government’s last year and it would not complete tenure,” Khan predicted.

He said that elections to be held in August according to constitution, but country has been facing economic crises and Finance Minister does not seem to return from London.

“Finance minister is facing money laundering and corruption cases while ‘Iqama’ of Foreign and Interior ministers have surfaced which means they both were taking salaries from foreign countries in spite of handling ministerial portfolios in the country,” mentioned PTI chief.

He said that no decision has been taken to table no confidence motion against the PM but assembly remains vacant during the session, nobody likes to attend the session, he added.

Talking about Khatam-e-Nabuwwat Bill, Imran Khan disclosed that many question arises about the change of said bill as Shehbaz Sharif announced termination of responsible and if this had happened earlier, nobody would be here in Islamabad today to protest, he mentioned.

PTI chief Imran Khan said that party leader Faisal Vawda had attended the MQM-PSP meeting without informing him or anyone else.

Imran said that he had heard about Faisal Vawda being present in MQM-PSP meetings from a TV show.

"Arif Alvi, who is the President of our party's Sindh chapter, will conduct an inquiry into this matter," he said. "Faisal Vawda did not inform anyone that he would be attending the MQM-PSP meetings," he added.
