ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to do new legislation for the capital.
Barrister Zafarullah, advisor to Prime Minister on Thursday talking to media said that Ministry of Law has gotten approval from PM for new legislation.
“Six new laws would be made for capital including the establishment of Islamabad Food Authority, which would consists of representatives of citizens and traders community”, he added and maintained that distribution and disputes of property would be decided by Revenue Officer instead of civil court as per new legislation.
He said that it has been decided to amend the 182 clause of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). As per new amendment, the person who would lodge the fake murder case will have to face the punishment of ten years prison while seven year prison for those who would register fake cases of other crimes.
Barrister Zafarullah said that trial court would award the punishment of prison on the spot in case of registration of fake case while punishment would not be awarded if case was disposed off on technical ground.
He said that it has also been decided to amend the 54-A clause of Criminal Procedure Code (CPC).
