ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Maryam Aurangzeb taking notice of unnecessary delay in allotments of plots to journalists and media workers in different housing schemes has summoned emergency meeting today (on Friday).

According to reports, the plots for journalists and media workers had announced in Prime Minister Housing scheme, Bahara Kahu, F-14, F-15 and Thalliyaan.

Central president All Pakistan Newspapers Employees Confederation (APNEC) Ikram Bukhari, Vice chairman APNEC Asif Pervaiz Butt and Chairman APNEC Rawalpindi Muhammad Siddique Anzar held meeting with information minister and informed her about reservations of media men.

The delegation of confederation informed Aurangzeb that Sheraz Latif, DG Information Service Academy who is also holding office of Chairman Housing committees of information ministry has been evading in sending already prepared list to Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF).

Sheraz is going to retire in few days so he must be restricted to forward scrutinized list of media workers and journalists plots’ to ministry of information without any delay.

Expressing annoyance against the deliberate delay, Maryam Aurangzeb has summoned emergency meeting of Information ministry today (on Sunday).
