LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has directed to apprehend the accused involved in the murder of innocent girl and no excuse is acceptable, he wants to see the accused behind bars soon and bring the real facts fore.
He was addressing in the meeting of provincial cabinet committee for Law and order that has met under his chairmanship.
IG Police has briefed the committee on the progress made on the unfortunate incident in Kasur.
He assured justice to the affected family and added that cruelty and brutality was committed against the innocent girl.
He said the culprits behind the crime would be given exemplary punishment under the law for his barbaric act.
He added that the two persons killed in the Kasur riots will be provided justice and he will personally supervise the progress made on these cases.
Chief Minister directed that IG Police should visit Kasur daily and review the progress on the cases and he can use his helicopter for this purpose. He directed DG Punjab Forensic Agency and Additional Home Secretary to leave for Kasur and stay in the camp office there to deal with the matters pertaining to their respective departments. He said that he is enduring pains and he only wants to see the accused arrested.
