SHARJAH: Pakistan, who won the toss and opted to bat, were bowled out for 234 on the opening day of the third and final test against England in Sharjah on Sunday.
 
Paceman James Anderson (4-17) and Stuart Broad (2-13) led the attack admirably while Misbah-ul-Haq top-scored with 71 on a grassless pitch at Sharjah stadium.
 
Pakistan lead the three-match series 1-0 after winning the second test in Dubai by 178 runs. The first test ended in a draw in Abu Dhabi.
