CHITRAL: After recent rains and snowfall, the miseries of the earthquake-hit people have further increased. 
 
According to Metreological Department more rains and snowfall over hills in earthquake-hit areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan is expected.
 
Rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected at scattered places in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan divisions during next 24 hours. 
 
Cold and dry weather is expected in upper parts of KP, particularly in earthquake affected areas on Friday and Saturday.
 
Rain-thunderstorm is also expected at scattered places in upper FATA during next 24 hours. Cold and dry weather is expected in FATA, particularly in earthquake affected areas on Friday and Saturday.
 
Rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected at scattered places in Gilgit-Baltistan during next 24 hours. Cold and dry weather is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan, particularly in earthquake-affected areas on Friday and Saturday.
 
The relief and rehabilitation activities are being hampered due to rain and snowfall. 
 
The quake-hit people residing in tents are prone to diseases and chilly weather. Meanwhile, Met Office has forecast more rains and snowfall over hills in these
areas.
 
On the other han, Chitral-Gilgit Road and Peshawar-Chitral Road are closed for traffic due to snowfall and land sliding. Shandur received 14 inch snowfall after which the road linking Gilgit and Chitral was closed. Intermittent snowfall continues over hills in Diamer District.
