ISLAMABAD: The newly appointed ambassador of the United States A David Hale called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif here on Thursday and both discussed Pakistan-US bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest.
Afghan reconciliation process also came under discussion during the meetin, a source at the PM House told Online. The US envoy appreciated efforts of Pakistan for regional peace and elimination of terrorism. He also hailed the sacrifices rendered by security forces and nation for restoring peace in the country.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi was also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Pakistan's Ambassador-designate to Bahrain Javed Malik also met the prime minister to apprise him about his responsibilites and new tasks.
