KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan has announced to continue existing six percent interest rate for next two months to stabilize the economy.
Announcing the next two month monetary policy, Governor State Bank of Pakistan Ashraf Wathra in Karachi on Saturday said foreign exchange reserves are on increasing trend and said that last year’s growth rate is expected to be continuing this year.
He said that borrowing by private sector has increased and the local as well foreign investment has also increased. Reduction in items of daily use has given impetus to the business.
He said that if there is bumper wheat crop this year it will have positive impact on national economy.
