ISLAMABAD: Former Governor of Afghanistan's Herat province Fazlullah Wahidi has been recovered from Mardan.

He was kidnapped by unknown persons from Islamabad about two weeks ago. Fazlullah Wahidi is healthy and he will soon be soon handed over to his family, sources said.

Fazalullah Wahidi had arrived in Islamabad along with his family to get visas to travel to UK.

Parliamentary delegation of Afghanistan had also visited Pakistan recently and held meetings with Pakistani leadership including the prime minister regarding recovery of the abducted Afghan governor.
