KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday rejected Saulat Mirza’s wife plea seeking halt to her husband’s death penalty.
The hearing was conducted by Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto and Justice Shaukat Ali Memon.
The petition forwarded by Nighat Mirza stated that the execution should be halted until the inquiry of the joint investigation team’s (JIT) report is finalised.
The petitioner maintained that the names mentioned by Mirza during his investigation must be included in the related cases and until these are finalised, execution should be postponed.
