ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar says Pakistan after having achieved macroeconomic stability is now fully focused on economic growth and job creation.
He was talking to Chairman and President US Exim Bank Mr. Fred P. Hochberg in Islamabad on Sunday.
The Minister said a large number of projects are being implemented in the infrastructure and energy sectors to provide environment for the private sector to grow and make further investments.
He said the government is seriously undertaking reforms for rehabilitation of the national airline.
He said concerted efforts are also afoot to complete energy projects and the government has a resolve to add 10,000 MW to the national grid in its tenure.
The Minister said US company, General Electric has entered agreement for supply of gas turbines and related equipment for the three 3600 MW LNG based power projects in the country.
President US Exim Bank evinced keen interest in investment opportunities in Pakistan and expressed his Bank readiness to facilitate US investors for investment.
