ISLAMABAD: The leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Asad Umar has said that the government’s announcement to form a commission to probe Panama Papers will take thousands of years as the proposed commission will also investigate other things other than the leaks.
Talking to reporters here on Saturday, he said that in his address to the nation, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif targeted the PTI. “While targeting the PTI, Nawaz forgot to tell the nation about the scope of the proposed commission,” Umar said.
The PTI leader invited Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid to attend his party’s rally in Islamabad to be held on Sunday as he (Pervaiz) was an expert in counting chairs. He announced that the rally participants will not march on D-Chowk and Rashid and his companions need not to be scared.
Umar said that the army chief has sacked high ranking officials and now Nawaz understands that it was a signal for him. He claimed that the prime minister did not want accountability.
