ISLAMABAD:  The Standing Committee of Overseas and Human Resources’ subcommittee has strongly expressed its reservations over the increasing HIV and AIDS among Pakistanis living abroad especially in Middle East countries.  

The committee got irked for not being appointed permanent Director General in Bureau of Immigration and Overseas for the last three months and the secretary Overseas was also ordered to appoint DG during this month.    

The subcommittee headed by Senator Lt. General (R) Abdul Qayyum recommending the establishment of overseas commission in AJ&K and Gilgit Baltistan including other four provinces said that these commissions would keep the record of people of their respective provinces.

Senator Riffat Mirza, Senator Orangzaib including Ministry of Overseas’ Additional Secretary and acting DG of Overseas Employment Promoters Bureau attended the meeting.
