ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid on Thursday criticised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and said that he wanted to create chaos during Independence Day celebrations in August.

Talking to media, he said that he was unable to understand Imran’s priorities, yesterday the nation was observing Black Day over Indian oppression in Kashmir but Imran divided nation and announced to start a movement against government. He could have announced to commence his movement in December, January and February but for no reason he had decided the month of August, the minister said.

He said that the government had highlighted Kashmir issue before the global community in a better and acceptable way. Pakistan was raising Kashmiri peoples  voice for self-determination on both moral and diplomatic grounds, Pervaiz added.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will accept Azad Kashmir elections whatever the results came out to be, he said.

Steps taken to ensure peace in Karachi were unanimously approved and the government had zero tolerance with respect to deliberate hindrances made in Karachi Operation, Rashid said.
