ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said that his party has decided to go ahead with its plan to march on Raiwind House, the camp office of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
“In our meeting, we have decided to hold the Raiwind March before Muharram. It is our final decision,” Khan told the media. He, however, said that PTI would take other parties into confidence about its protest plan. “We will go to any extend to seek answers from the ruling family about the Panama Leaks,” he said.
The PTI chief said that his party was willing to reconsider the date of the protest. “It is our democratic and constitutional right to protest. We will not go to anybody’s home. We will hold a jalsa,” he said.
He accused Prime Minister Sharif of destroying state institutions to protect his offshore wealth. “NAB is catching only small thieves,” he said.
Khan warned that PTI would block the roads across Pakistan if the government tried to use police. The Punjab police should not become a militant wing of the government, he added.
Speaking on this occasion, PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that his party would invite other parties, but cannot force anyone to join our protest.
