KARACHI: SSP Rao Anwar has challenged his suspension orders in Sindh High Court (SHC).
He has filed petition against his suspension as SSP Malir for conducting raid at the residence of MQM leader and opposition leader in Sindh Assembly Khawaja Izhar ul Hassan and arresting him.
The petition has been admitted for hearing and two members bench of SHC led by justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar will hear the petition.
Rao Anwar has taken the plea in his petition that he had conducted raid at the residence of Khawaja Izhar ul Hassan, opposition leader in Sindh Assembly according to law and he had informed speaker Sindh Assembly after arresting him.
He prayed the court to declare suspension orders illegal and reinstate him on his office.
It is pertinent to mention here that Rao Anwar along with heavy contingent of police had conducted raid at the residence of opposition leader Sindh Assembly Khawaja Izhar ul Hasssan two days back and arrested him.
The chief minister Sindh while taking notice of this incident had suspended SSP Malir Rao Anwar.
