ISLAMABAD: The Apex Court on Tuesday issued notices to Interior Ministry and Attorney General (AG) of Pakistan in Quetta carnage case.
Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali heard the suo motu notice case, the apex court sealed off investigation report and sought detailed report from the concerned authorities. nspector General Police Balochistan presented the investigation report before the court.
The Chief Justice asked IG Balochistan what progress police had made in the tragedy.
The court also ordered secretary health to make the trauma centres of all the hospitals active besides ensuring complete security.
The court put off the hearing till October 14, saying the next hearing of the case would be held in Quetta.
A suicide bomber had killed at least 70 people most of them lawyers and wounded dozens more in an attack on mourners who had gathered at the state-run Civil Hospital on August 08.
The bomber struck as more than 100 mourners, mostly lawyers and journalists, crowded into the emergency department to accompany the body of Balochistan Bar Association President Bilal Kasi, who had been shot and killed in the city earlier in the day.
