QUETTA: At least three Frontier Constabulary  (FC) personnel were dead while one other injured as a result of firing of unidentified motorists in Sabzal road near Uzbak Chowk, an area of Quetta.

According to details, the unidentified motorists have opened indiscriminate fire on FC personnel during patrolling. As a result of firing, three FC personnel Naik Muhammad Arif, Abdul Latif and Faiz-u-llah were dead on the spot while one personnel sustained injuries. The injured was immediately shifted to BMC Hospital.

After receiving information about the incident, Commissioner Quetta Amjad Ali Khan, Deputy Commissioner Abdul Wahid Kakar and personnel of Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) have immediately rushed to the spot. The security of the venue has been tightened.

The accused have managed to escape from the scene after the incident.

The bodies of the deceased have been shifted to headquarter. Later, the dead bodies have been dispatched to their ansectoral areas for burial.  

Provincial Interior Minister Mir Sarfraz Bughti has strongly condemned the terror incident and said that our youngsters are sacrificing their lives for peace.

In a statement issued here, the Provincial Minister said that peace in the province had maintained owing to sacrifices rendered by the personnel of security forces.

“All available resources would be utilized to bring the culprits allegedly involve in terror incident into justice”, the Provincial Minister concluded.
