QUETTA: Chairman Awami National Party (ANP) Asfand Yar Wali has demanded the PM to remove the concerns of Pushton and Baloch regarding China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

While addressing the legal fraternity in Balochistan High Court, the ANP’s chief said that National Action Plan (NAP) was not implemented as both provincial and federal governments have completely failed in this regard.

The educated segment was targeted in the terror incidents like APS Peshawar, Bacha Khan University, August 8th, Mardan and October 24th incidents under conspiracy. Although political and military leadership is on same page but government has failed in implementing NAP.

“If NAP is implemented in letter and spirit as the law and order situation could be improved adding that if suspects allegedly involve in August 8 incident were dealt with iron hands then such terror incident may not happened”,

ANP Chief added and maintained that devastation of young generation is the devastation of entire nation and even this incident is being politicized.

He said that ANP is alleged of opponent of CPEC project and holding rally against it but the fact is that we are not opposed of it. It is a game changer project adding that it is our demand that all promises made by PM regarding western route of CPEC be fulfilled. The Baloch leadership is getting confused.

Asfand Yar Wali asked about the future of Gawadar and demanded that people be taken into confidence over CPEC adding that list of industrial zones along this project be issued so that share of Baloch and Pushton be marked. “We have no objection over the development of Punjab under CPEC but our grievances and concerns be removed immediately”, he explained.

Talking about the terror attack in Police training center Quetta, ANP’s chief said that it is beyond the understanding that why under training recruits were called again after their leave and under which order they were asked to stay inside the center.
“The interior and foreign policies of the government have been failed and it should be re-determined adding that ANP would never favor any unconstitutional measure”, Asfand Yar Wali concluded.
