ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Chairman Azam Saigol on Monday resigned from his post.

PIA Chairman said that he had resigned from his office for  personal reasons.

Spokesman Civil Aviation Division  while confirming about tendering  of  resignation by  chairman PIA said  board will decide about accepting or rejecting the resignation.

Media reports said bureaucracy was not happy with chairman PIA following plane crash in Havelian. He was also not taken into confidence before grounding ATR aircrafts.
