QUETTA: At least five people belonging to Shia Hazara community were gunned down in Quetta’s Circular Road area near Meezab Chowk on Sunday.
According to media reports, unidentified armed men on two motorcycles opened indiscriminate fire on the victims, who were sitting outside a tea shop in the area. Four of them died on the spot, while one person died in hospital.
Soon after the incident the police and law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area and started search operation. Later bodies of the deceased were shifted to the civil hospital and the CMH. They were identified as Mohammad Ali, Kazim, Zeeshan and Nematullah.
The Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned the incident of firing in Quetta in which Hazara community people lost their lives.
According to the press release, prime minister sought report into the incident and asked authorities to apprehend the criminals at the earliest. He also extended condolences to the bereaved families.
