ISLAMABAD: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has restored Pakistan’s 20 percent hajj quota which was deducted during 2013-2016.

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Hajj ministry has assured to consider on increasing in Hajj quota by the ministry of religious affairs.

According to new Hajj quota 179210 hajj pilgrims will perform Hajj this year.

It is pertinent to mention here that a delegation lead by Federal minister for Religious Affairs Minister Sardar Yousaf negotiated with the ministry of Hajj of Saudi Arabia for the restoration of the quota and arrangements of Hajj 2017.

During 2013, due to the construction and expansion work at Masjid Al-Haram, the Saudi government reduced the Pakistan hajj quota for three years which later extended to 2016.
