ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Tuesday said that a politically negotiated settlement is the most viable solution to Afghan conflict.

The reaffirmation was made by Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz while talking to the United Nations Secretary General’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Tadamichi Yamamoto in Islamabad.

The two sides discussed the emerging situation in Afghanistan and the need for strengthening efforts for enduring peace and stability. They agreed to continue constructive efforts for Afghan-owned and Afghan-led peace process.
