ISLAMABAD: Peshawar Zalmi skipper and West Indian cricketer Darren Sammy has expressed his shock over Shahid Khan Afridi's decision to announce his 'end of service' as the President of the team and also its player, on Saturday.
According to media reports, Darren Sammy and Shahid Afridi were known to be close friends. Sammy succeeded Afridi as the skipper of Peshawar Zalmi which ultimately proved to be a good decision as the Zalmis won the second edition of the Pakistan Super League.
From Sammy's reaction, it's quite obvious that the West Indian cricketer did not know about Afridi's decision to quit the cricket team. In one of his tweets, Sammy claimed that it had been a pleasure playing with Afridi.
