ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has said that projects were not completed within twenty years by the previous governments but PML-N government has set the fragile and faltering projects on their feet.

“Our government has not compromised on quality. We set the fragile and faltering projects on their own feet”, he was  talking to media men while inaugurating Islamabad Metro bus project here at New Islamabad Airport Saturday.

He held that metro bus project would now be linked to airport and it would extend facility to middle class enormously. It will provide air conditioned service to the passengers from Peshawar More to Airport.

If we look at the past we can come to know that the projects were not completed in 20 years but out government is focusing on improving infrastructure. Hazara Motorway will be completed by August 14, he remarked.

To a question he said that there are so many tales of corruption, embezzlements and investigation that if we take up them then our attention from development will be diverted. But we want to place our focus on only development of the country.

The project, under the management of National Highway Authority, costs almost Rs. 18 billion and comprises four interchanges and fourteen stopovers, according to Radio Pakistan. It will effectively link the new Islamabad Airport to Peshawar Morr, will be over 25 kilometres long, and feature nine bus stations, 11 underpasses, and 12 bridges. 9 metro stations will be  built on this metro track.
