ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) while taking notice of use of narcotics in educational institutions of KP has sought report on the anti narcotics steps taken by provincial government in the province.

The apex court took notice of use of narcotics in KP educational institutions during the course of hearing of drug peddler bail plea on Tuesday.

The counsel for KP government took the plea that use of narcotics remains almost no more in educational institutions.

Justice Dost Muhammad remarked “what steps have been taken by provincial government for curbing use of drugs  in educational institutions. Have the employees of university involved in drug peddling been apprehended. I know it who are involved in this heinous business. I will not name any one. Coming name of any one in media is a bad thing.

He further remarked “ society will have to be run on positive lines. Educational institutions change the life of people. These students will become engineers, doctors, judges and lawyers in future. We have to protect the coming generation against drug menace.

The court while rejecting the bail plea of alleged drug peddler Muhammad Amjid ordered the trial court to complete the trial within two months.
