ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has ordered to hold an inquiry on a letter of Intelligence Bureau (IB) regarding connections of 37 parliamentarians of ruling PML-N with Diash and other banned outfits.
Sources said that Director General Intelligence Bureau (IB) Aftab Sultan called on Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. The Parliamentarians whose names were included in the list and some federal ministers were also present on this occasion. These parliamentarians lashed out before Speaker NA and termed this list an effort to spoil their political carrier.
They categorically denied of their connections with Diash and banned outfits and said that if IB did not satisfy them as they would table privilege motion in the house.

The parliamentarians termed the list provided by IB a conspiracy against them and said that parliamentarians of Southern Punjab and Central Punjab were intentionally included in the list.
They added that if any one of these parliamentarians had connections with banned outfits then IB should report to PM before giving them these parliamentarians’ any portfolio. They termed it conspiracy against them and effort is made to prove them terrorist which would badly effect on their political carrier too.
The PM had heard the stance of Director General IB and said that FIR has been lodged against concerned media persons because it is a fake list and IB did not write a letter to PM office.
The DG, IB said that probably someone is involved inside the office as his signature was misused, therefore he has ordered the internal inquiry of the matter. The internal inquiry report would be shared with PM and Speaker NA.
The PM said that no such correspondence was made from his office in this regard and inquiry would be conducted.
“Speaker NA being a custodian of the house demanded to investigate the matter while effected parliamentarians were of the view that matter would be tabled before privilege committee if they were not satisfied”, sources concluded.
