MULTAN: The investigation officer in model Qandeel Baloch murder case has been dismissed from service over non- filing final  challan in the case despite lapse of 15 months.

According to media reports, Sub-Inspector Muzaffarabad police station and investigation officer in Model Qandeel Baloch murder case Noor Akbar has been sacked by CPO Chaudhry Muhammad Saleem on not submitting  final challan of the case in the court .

Earlier, several times, court had issued orders to investigation officer for filing challan to proceed into the case further but on every occasion he sought more time for investigating the case. The  court had issued orders for forfeiture  of Noor Akbar salary.

It is vital to mention here that till yet four investigation officers have  been changed  in Qandeel Baloch murder case.

Model Qandeel Baloch was killed last year on  July 15 while her brother Waseem and cousin Haq Nawaz who were involved in her killing are behind the bars.
