KARACHI: The Sindh government has decided to link the sale and purchase of vehicles with the NADRA system. Preliminary matters have been settled between the Excise Department and NADRA in this regard. DG Excise Shoaib Siddiqui in a statement issued to the media said that the vehicle must be registered within a month after the purchase and the process of purchase with biometric at NADRA centers or any franchise has to be completed. DG Excise said that the buyer and the seller have to go to the nearest NADRA center, after getting the thumbprints of both, they will get a slip from NADRA, through which only the vehicle can be transferred. Shoaib Siddiqui said that driving an open litter car is a problem not only for the government but also for law and order. If a car is sold four times, it is transferred only once. He further said that transfer from biometric would increase vehicle tax and revenue by 30%
