Prima facie appointment of Naeem Bokhari as chairman PTC a violation of SC orders: CJ IHC

ISLAMABAD, Jan 12 (Online):Chief Justice (CJ) Islamabad High Court(IHC) Athar Minallah has remarked prima facie the appointment of Naeem Bokhari as chairman PTC is violation of Supreme Court (SC) orders.

CJ IHC gave these remarks during the course of hearing of petitions filed against appointment of Naeem Bokhari as chairman PTV here Tuesday.

The court ordered Naeem Bokhari to read out SC decision.

The court directed Attorney General (AG) Khalid Javed Khan to assist it on next hearing and summoned the authorised officer of secretary information and broadcasting ministry on next hearing.

The CJ IHC remarked “ SC decision is very clear. It must be implemented. Naeem Bokhari is respectable for us but we can not ignore SC decision.

Chairman PTV Naeem Bokhari told the court federal government is authorised to appoint private director.

CJ IHC directed “ read the SC decision . The age limit is also mentioned therein.

Naeem Bokhari told the court a new notification has been issued which is not on record as yet.

The counsel for Naeem Bokhari sought time from the court to give reply.

The court while accepting the plea adjourned the hearing of the case till January 14.
