ISLAMABAD, April 06 (Online): Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has completed consultations for reshuffling the cabinet and the announcement on changing the portfolios of ministers is likely to be made at any time.
Sources told Online the annoyance of ministers is behind the delay in reshuffling of the federal cabinet. However Imran Khan has allayed the reservations of the ministers in consultation with party leadership and close aides.
The portfolios of the ministers of poor performance will be changed.
Sources said that change has been made in ministry of anti drugs, food security ministry and ministry of energy. Portfolios of information and broadcasting and aviation will also be re-allocated.
Decision has been taken to hire the services of Shaukat Tareen to strengthen team in ministry of finance. Shaukat Tareen will be inducted as member of economic council initially and later he will be inducted as special assistant and minister.
It has been proposed to constitute new team of 5 members in ministry of information and broadcasting. The media team comprising federal minister, state minister, special assistant and spokesperson will monitor ministry of information affairs.
Shibli Faraz or Fawad Chaudhry will be appointed as information minister. Offer has been extended to minister of Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry for his appointment as minister of information. However Fawad Chaudhry has sought time for consultations in this regard.
Sources said if Shibli Faraz is not allocated ministry of information then he will be allocated the portfolio of minister of energy.
Sources said decision has been taken to include two to three ministers in the federal cabinet. Some will be assigned duty in Prime Minister House and some will be allocated portfolios of ministry.
It has been decided that Syed Fakhar Imam will be again appointed as chairman Kashmir committee and he will be relieved of as minister.
Sources said PM has taken all important decisions and announcement is likely at any time on this count..
