Islamabad – April 7 (Online): Leading Pakistani singer Asim Azhar has appealed to Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood to do something for students and support them in this difficult time.
Educational institutions across the country remained closed for several months due to the coronavirus, opening for short intervals in-between before cases swelled back up and lockdowns were imposed again, especially in the current third wave.
Recognizing the plight of students who have been requesting and even protesting for cancelation of physical exams in favor of online exams, singer Asim Azhar has raised his voice for the cause.
Asim wrote in a tweet on Tuesday that students have been really disturbed due to the pandemic causing educational institutes to close and reopen over and over again, adding that he personally knows some students that haven’t been able to even complete their syllabuses. Asim said that it would be unfair to hold exams in such circumstances.
He requested Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood to do something for the students and support them in this difficult time.
