India’s coronavirus updates: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tests positive for Covid-19
New Delhi – April 20 (Online): Coronavirus pandemic in India enters threatening phase as per the Indian media, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday tested positive for Covid-19.
Rahul took it to twitter and announced that he has tested positive for Covid-19 after experiencing mild symptoms. “After experiencing mild symptoms, I’ve just tested positive for COVID.”, wrote Rahul.
“All those who have been in contact with me recently, please follow all safety protocols and stay safe”, Rahul’s statement further read.
According to Indian media, India recorded 2,59,170 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, taking its covid caseload to 1,53,21,089 while active cases surpassed the 20-lakh mark, according to the Union health ministry data updated on Tuesday.
The death toll increased crossed the 1.8 lakh mark with record 1,761 daily new fatalities.
