SC suspends SHC order for paying pension to fake degree holder GM security CA

ISLAMABAD, May 03 (Online): Supreme Court (SC) has suspended the Sindh High Court (SHC) order for releasing pension to fake degree holder General Manager (GM) Security of Civil Aviation (CA) following the completion of his service tenure.

A 3-member bench of SC presided over by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmad took up the case for hearing Monday.

The CJP during the hearing of the case remarked Civil Aviation is very neglected department. People have been flying aircrafts on fake degrees. People completed their service tenure on the most important seat of security like sensitive department on fake degree. Therefore, smuggling is going on easily at airports. Even CCTV cameras don’t function at airport.

Khalid Siddiqui, counsel for CA told the court GM Nadim Zuberi not only filed fake degree but he also got made fake verification letter of Karachi University.

He prayed the court SHC decision runs contrary to the facts, therefore, it should be set aside.

The court while admitting the CA appeal plea for hearing has declared as suspended the SHC decision for paying pension to former GM Security CA Nadim Zuberi.
