Imran Riaz not a journalist: Marriyum Aurangzeb

ISLAMABAD, May 23 (Online): Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has said Imran Riaz is not a journalist but he is spokesperson of a political party.

British journalist Sikandar Kiayani shared a video of informal talks with Marriyum Aurangzeb on social media website twitter.

The journalist asked question in video that journalists are disappearing in Pakistan and they are being taken into custody. Your government is responsible for it.

Marriyum Aurangzeb questioned from the journalist tell me name of even one journalist who has gone missing or has been fired upon or kidnapped.

The UK journalist gave name of Imran Riaz.

The federal minister dubbing Imran Riaz spokesperson of a political party said we will have to make difference between journalists and spokes persons of political party. The journalist who acts as spokesperson of political party should not be combined with journalists. Cases are pending hearing against Imran Riaz in the courts.
Criticizing Imran Khan information minister said International journalist organization had given title of media predator to him during his tenure. The journalists were arrested and their voice was silenced during Imran Khan tenure.

The international journalist again questioned what you think about disappearance of any journalist how much he is good or bad because Imran Riaz is not in their custody according to police.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said I condemn it if some one disappears either it is I or Imran Riaz. All TV channels are running at present and all anchors are working according to their will.
