Bilawal Bhutto needs to have a coherent vision of the world system for peaceful resolution of conflicts
Federal Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto has said that there is a need to have a coherent vision of a global system based on peaceful coexistence, peaceful settlement of conflicts, and common prosperity.
According to details, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while addressing the 29th ASEAN Regional Forum ministerial meeting said that it is valuable to use collective efforts to promote dialogue and cooperation for peace and stability in the Asia Pacific.
Expressing his views, he said that today we are gathered here after many months of long diplomacy, our region and the world as a whole are facing challenges in many fields, this is an important historical turning point, the steps we take are, or fail to raise, have profound implications for its future.
The Foreign Minister said that the covid-19 pandemic was unprecedented in terms of socio-economic impact globally, the international cooperation and solidarity it generated was also unprecedented, while the trend of vaccine nationalism was unfortunately on the rise. While some countries competed with their resources to protect their populations.
He said that it will be important to fight in a more humane way for a more coordinated response, development of concrete mechanisms, equal opportunities for vaccines to combat future health crises.
