Alumni Association of Quad-e-Azam University (AAQU) has strongly condemned the murderous attack on Vice Chancellor (VC) of university Professor Dr Muhammad Ali in an Independence day ceremony and demanded of Prime Minister (PM), Interior minister and IG Islamabad to bring the accused to justice.

A press release issued by AAQU said the four years period of vice chancellor is being dubbed the most peaceful and progressive period of university and during this period university ranking improved remarkably. The lethal attack on him on this occasion is not only source of embarrassment for the students of university and Alumni association but also it has sparked a wave of concern among the departments of higher education across the country.

If those who played the central role in life attempt are not brought to justice then it will aggravate the concern, they cautioned.

It may be mentioned that an internee opened 3 pistol fires on vice chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Ali after independence day ceremony on August 14 and he remained safe due to vigilance of faculty members and security guards.
