Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notices to MCI and other relevant institution on the matter of taking back ground from the local bodies representatives.
The case on taking back ground from local bodies representatives came up for hearing before a single bench of IHC led by Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan here Tuesday.
Adil Aziz Qazi appeared on behalf of the petitioner in the court. He told the court they are giving children cricket ground on rent to some one. Notification for taking back the grounds from MCI has been issued on September 08.
The court inquired from the counsel of the petitioner Qazi Sahb have you ever played cricket.
Qazi Adil replied he has played cricket for five years. If MCI gives ground some one then it receives fee ranging between Rs 2000 to 4000. Now they are giving the ground to a private club and they will not allow common man to play therein.
Justice Sardar Ishaq Khan remarked we summon the respondents on this matter and ask from them what is happening.
The court while issuing notice CDA, MCI and other respective institutions sought reply from them till September 16.
