Burmese drug baron Ibrahim koko repatriated to his country


Burmese drug smuggler Ibrahim who was serving five years term in jail has been sent back to his country Myanmar under the orders of Islamabad High Court (IHC).

Interior ministry and foreign ministry have filed implementation report in IHC.

According to interior ministry report Ibrahim Koko Burmese citizenship was verified through foreign ministry. Ibrahim Koko was sent to his country following the confirmation of his Burmese citizenship.

The case came up for hearing before single bench of IHC led by Justice Mohsin Akhtar kiyani.

Mian Faisal advocate Deputy Attorney General appeared in the court on behalf of the federaton.

According to report Burmese embassy arranged for travelling documents in respect of Ibrahim Koko.

Ibrahim Koko was deported to Myanmar on August 10 from Islamabad.

It is pertinent to mention that Burmese drug smuggler was in jail since five years despite completion of his sentence term in Pakistan.

IHC had ordered to send Ibrahim Koko to his country till September 16.

The court wrapped up petition following departure of Ibrahim to his respective country.
