Ruling alliance decides to file no confidence motion against deputy chairman Senate

Ruling coalition has decided to move no confidence motion against deputy chairman Senate Mirza Muhammad Afridi.

Signatures of more than 50 senators have been got on no confidence motion. The ruling alliance enjoys support of 67 senators in Senate.

According to sources PDM and ruling alliance have decided to remove deputy chairman Senate Mirza Muhammad Afridi from his slot. The resolution for no trust motion will soon be filed in Senate secretariat.

The process for obtaining signatures of the senators on no trust motion has been started and more than 50 senators have signed the motion.

The ruling alliance enjoys support of 67 senators and on the other hand opposition enjoys support of only 33 senators.

Mirza Afridi was got elected as deputy chairman Senate by PTI. The voting on the motion will take place in next session.

The ruling alliance will field senator from JUI-F or ANP as candidate for the slot of deputy chairman Senate.

On the other hand PTI senator Chaudhry Ijaz has said PTI will face no confidence motion against the deputy chairman Senate.
