Pakistan ready to play a role with Turkiye for Ukraine conflict resolution, Defence Minister

Islamabad:(Rana Tariq) Defence Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif commended the role of Turkish leadership in ending the Ukraine conflict and said that Turkiye’s role is very important for the world, especially the Pakistani economy.

Pakistan is ready to play a role with Turkiye for conflict resolution, mediation, and ceasefire.
While Turkish Ambassador Dr. Mehmet Pacaci described the development of the Pakistan-Turkey defense sector as an important driving force for the development of other sectors and emphasized on speedy implementation of bilateral agreements.
On Monday, a special ceremony was held in connection with the 99th Anniversary of the Republic Day of Turkiye at local hotel.

Minister of Defense Khawaja Muhammad Asif participated as a special guest, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar, and many political, business, and diplomatic personalities participated.

The ceremony started with the national anthems of both countries, the chief guest cut the cake together with the Turkish ambassador.
Tributes were paid to the leader of Turkiye Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, other martyrs and Ghazis in the Turkish War of Independence, and the establishment of the Republic of Turkey.
Defense Minister, Khawaja Mohammad Asif while addressing the ceremony said that Turkiye’s war of independence is the most important battle of the 21st century.

Turkey has a key role in Syria and the surrounding region. Turkey is playing a key role in ending the Ukraine-Russia conflict.
The conflict between Ukraine and Russia has severely affected the economies of the whole world, especially Pakistan.
We are ready to play a role with Turkiye for mediation and a ceasefire between Turkey and other countries. Khawaja Asif said that he always prays for the prosperity of the brothers of Turkey.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Turkish Ambassador said that the Turkish state was established ninety-nine years ago on October 29.
These guests have come to make this day special and memorable. On this occasion, I congratulate the people of Turkiye.

We also pay tribute to Kemal Atatürk and other martyrs. Ninety-nine years ago, we got the state of Turkey after many sacrifices.
