IHC directs PTI to contact administration for landing helicopter in parade ground

Islamabad High Court (IHC) while directing PTI to contact the administration for landing helicopter in parade ground wrapped up the petition.

 

The PTI petition seeking court orders for allowing helicopter to land in parade ground and passing the people through Islamabad in connection with PTI public meeting came up for hearing before the single bench of IHC presided over by the Chief Justice (CJ) Aamer Farooq here Wednesday.

The counsel for PTI told the court PTI has given call for public meeting in Rawalpindi on November 26.

The court remarked it is your plea that I should give them the directives which I can not give.. This is job of administration. The application given by you to administration has not been rejected so far.

The counsel for PTI told the court we have submitted application. Earlier we had given application for rally in Rawat. Chairman PTI will come to Islamabad on helicopter. We have sought permission for it as well.

The court inquired then high court can do what in this matter. High court can not provide helipad services.

The counsel for PTI told the court it should give directives to the administration to decide our application as per law.

The CJ IHC remarked they have to do it as per law. I will not say that it should not be done as per law.

The court while directing PTI counsel to contact administration wrapped up the petition.
