ISLAMABAD: The National Security Committee (NSC) has reiterated its commitment that those who campaign against Pakistan on social media and spread confusion on the economy will be dealt with strictly.
Terrorists should not be allowed to disturbed the peace in any part of the country while it has been agreed to make the role of National Counter Terrorism Authority Pakistan (NECTA) effective.
According to sources, an important meeting of the National Security Committee was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in which the elements that caused the country’s disrepute on social media were reviewed.
According to the sources, the proposal to take action against those campaigning against Pakistan on social media was considered.The meeting considered the proposal to deal strictly with those who spread confusion on the economy.
In the meeting, it was decided to monitor the social media accounts that advance the agenda of the enemies of the country.In the meeting, the institutions were instructed that immediate action will be taken against social media accounts targeting the economy.The participants were briefed about all the stages of negotiations with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban.
According to the sources, proposals were also made to take strict action in the context of the violent activities of various groups of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban.The role of other anti-national intelligence agencies including India in terrorism and sabotage was also considered in detail.
According to the sources, decisive actions were also suggested against anti-national elements, the participants of the committee made it clear that peace will not be allowed to be disturbed in any part of the country.It was agreed to improve the consultation with the provinces for the full implementation of the National Action Plan.It was also agreed in the committee that NECTA’ role will be made effective.
