Construction work on Lawyers complex started: CDA tells court


ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has accepted president District Bar plea for not wrapping up lawyers complex petition and ordered CDA to present progress report within two weeks.

Islamabad District Bar petition on early construction of lawyers complex came up for hearing before single bench of IHC led by Chief Justice (CJ) Amir Farooq Tuesday.

Counsel for CDA told the court the construction work in respect of Lawyers complex has started.

Justice Amir Farooq remarked we will not dispose of the petition.

Counsel for CDA told the court work has been started a day before in the presence of representatives of district bar.

President Islamabad Bar Association Qaisar Imam, Bilal Mughal advocate appeared in the court while CDA was represented by its legal advisor Jawad Nazir and director land.

The court inquired work has started then what is timeline.

Counsel for CDA told the court the work will be completed within a year as per agreement.

The court inquired on the occasion is the period of one year mentioned any where.
