Upon whose orders Fawad was taken to Islamabad? Asks Farukh

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) senior leader Farukh Habib on Wednesday asked who had ordered Punjab police to take captured PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry to Islamabad.

On Wednesday, Fawad Chaudhry was taken to Islamabad after being arrested early morning – while the Lahore High Court (LHC) had ordered Punjab police to produce Chaudhry before the court.
Chaudhry, a former federal minister and PTI’s central leader, was arrested Wednesday morning by Punjab police on charges of sedition.

Farukh Habib, Fawad’s fellow party leader kept chasing police vans carrying Fawad – visuals shared through Farukh’s Twitter account showed. At a moment, Farukh was indulged in a physical confrontation with Punjab Police’s constables – as he bosomed across the police van reportedly carrying Fawad.

“Fawad wasn’t produced before the Lahore High Court. Action must be taken against this [violation of court’s orders],” Farukh said late Wednesday evening as he talked to media.“Action must be taken against those powerful people, who dictated the Punjab police and provoked them to violate Court’s orders,” he added.

“The court summoned them [police] three times but they kept heading towards Islamabad. We were getting news even yesterday night that they will take Fawad to Islamabad,” Farukh added.
“Is this your neutrality? You have decided to crush a party. Go ahead, we are ready to face consequences,” he thundered.
