Reports on resignation of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as PML-N senior vice president baseless: Spokesperson
ISLAMABAD: Spokesperson of former Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has refuted the reports of tendering resignation by Khaqan Abbasi as senior vice president of PML-N.
Hafiz Usman, the spokesperson of former PM said in his statement that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is still senior vice president of party. The media reports about his resignation are baseless.
He went on to say Shahid Khaqan Abbasi did not quit the party in difficulties then why he will leave PML-N today.
We contested the election as independent candidate IN 1988 , won it and joined PML-N.
Abbasi faced put his life into difficulties during Musharraf regime in 1999. He was sent to jail but he did not deviate from his mission.
He held Nawaz Sharif made Shahid Khaqan Abbasi prime minister and as PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had said “ my leader is Nawaz Sharif.
