PBC expresses reservations over giving extra ordinary protocol to bring Pervez Musharraf body
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) has expressed its reservations on giving extraordinary protocol for bringing body of former dictator Pervez Musharraf to Pakistan.
While expressing its reservations In its communiqué on bringing body of Pervez Musharraf through special plane PBC said pervez Musharraf indulged in military treason against elected persons in 1999, He suspended constitution in 2008 and remained president of Pakistan. He committed treason. He trampled constitution twice.
PBC further said special court had awarded death sentence to Pervez Musharraf. He was absconding from court who should not be provided state
protocol.
The PBC held it had challenged in the Supreme court the decision on abolition of special court which is still pending hearing.
PBC has always stood against the unconstitutional steps and the legal fraternity will continue to stand for the protection of the constitution, independence of judiciary and rule of law.
