Sheikh Rashid asks journalists to consider that a small journalist has been made interior minister


ISLAMABAD, Dec 17 (Online): Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said all the check posts are being abolished in Islamabad except those of big hotels and Margalla.

“ all the check posts in Islamabad except those set up in major hotels and Margalla are being abolished and respect will be given to the citizens in all the police stations at Islamabad. I will request Prime Minister to increase salary of Islamabad police . It is my endeavor Islamabad should be the best safe city of Pakistan. I have come here to express solidarity with journalists and people I am from you and you should consider a small journalist has been made interior minister ”, he said this while taking to media men here Thursday.

He held transparency will come if the election in Senate are held through show of hand. We will resort to Supreme Court (SC) for holding Senate election through show of hand. If Senate election take place through show of hand then the rigging will stand abolished. If SC allows to hold Senate election through show of hand then it will be a big revolution.

He remarked our passport and identity card should not be denigrated.

Several projects including establishment of forensic laboratory in Islamabad are under consideration, he pointed out. The statistics of Pakistani prisoners in jails at other countries are being collected.

He observed that plots will be given to Islamabad police.

There are hundreds of seminaries in Islamabad, therefore we want it should be declared the safest city of Pakistan.
